Ben Harrison is a playwright, lyricist, composer, writer, and entertainer. At his core, he is a bar-room singer/songwriter who manages to blend history, musical theater, Key West culture, and humor into unusual stories that are mostly true. In winter 2025, Ben gave a series of performances of his songs at The Key West Theater. This year will also see the rerelease of his first novel, Charlie Jones

Ben has been a guest on The Howard Stern Show, This American Life, Dr. Demento, The Dick Cavett Show, and more. Winner of the Adeline Turner Award for Outstanding Performing Artist, Ben has recorded ten studio albums and four full-length theater musicals: Undying LoveKey West! A Musical Tour About TownClouds Over the Sunshine Inn, and El Isleño: The Untold Key West Story. He is also the author of four books: Undying LoveOfficial VisitSailing Down The Mountain, and Charlie Jones.

Ben and his wife, sculptor Helen Harrison, live in Key West, Florida, where they opened Harrison Gallery in 1986.
